Our mission

Buying a home, refinancing a mortgage, and understanding your paycheck are three of the biggest financial decisions Americans make, and yet the tools available online are either riddled with lead-gen forms or hide the actual math behind a signup wall. We built US Mortgage Tools to fix that: every calculator is free, every formula is documented, and nothing about your inputs ever leaves your browser.

Who we are

US Mortgage Tools is operated by a small independent editorial team. Our calculators are reviewed by:

• A licensed loan originator (NMLS-registered)
• A CFP® practitioner for tax and paycheck logic
• An engineering lead with 12 years of fintech experience

We do not employ AI to write our editorial content unaided. AI is used as a research assistant only; every article is written, edited, and fact-checked by a human.

How we make money

Two ways, both disclosed:

1. Display advertising (Google AdSense and select partner networks). Ads are visually separated and clearly labeled.
2. Affiliate partnerships with a handful of lenders and financial services companies. When a link is affiliate, we mark it. Our recommendations are never for sale, see our editorial policy.
